Impression Guide - Creator Access

We’re currently working on our own Drip Daddy tutorial — for now, the videos below show the same process you’ll be following with your kit.

Before You Start

Your kit includes one upper tray and one lower tray. For this creator collaboration, we’ve also included an extra upper tray.

Please make sure the correct tray is used when completing your impressions.

Please complete two upper impressions using the upper trays provided. This helps us choose the best impression for scanning and production.

Key Steps

  • Brush your teeth and wash your hands before starting
  • Mix one blue and one white putty together quickly until fully consistent (no marbling) — it begins setting fast
  • Press evenly into the tray and insert within 1 minute
  • Press firmly onto your teeth and pull your lip over the tray
  • Hold still for 3 minutes — no talking or movement

Light Body (Important)

  • Apply the material into the impression areas for the teeth your grillz will cover
  • Reinsert the same tray and bite gently in the same position
  • Hold for 4 minutes

This step captures fine detail for a more precise fit.

What We Need to See

✅ Clear tooth detail
✅ Full gumline visible
✅ No tray showing through
✅ No distortion or shallow areas

Avoid This

🚫 Moving while setting
🚫 Not pulling your lip over the tray
🚫 Uneven pressure causing drag marks
🚫 Shallow impressions

Before Sending

Submit clear photos of both your teeth and impressions here for approval:

For teeth photos:
✅ Front and side angles are recommended
✅ Teeth should be slightly apart
✅ Full tooth shape and gumline should be visible
✅ Good lighting is recommended

✅ Capture multiple angles if needed

Submit Photos

Wait for approval before sending anything back.

Sending It Back

  • Rinse each impression under cool running water to remove any residue (no hot water or scrubbing)
  • Allow impressions to dry naturally at room temperature — no heat or hair dryers
  • Place each impression in its own ziplock bag
  • Place the ziplock bags into the padded return bag provided, then seal the padded bag before placing it into the prepaid return satchel

Your impressions are processed by our partnered dental lab for 3D scanning and production.

  • Include the dental lab form provided in your kit — no action needed, just pack it with your impressions
  • Use the prepaid satchel provided
  • Drop at a yellow Australia Post box or post office
  • Do not use red post boxes

If needed, a replacement kit can be issued for $60.
