Your grillz are custom-made jewellery. With a few simple habits, they'll stay cleaner, more comfortable to wear, and keep their finish looking its best for longer.
Daily Care
After wearing your grillz:
- Remove them before eating, sleeping or brushing your teeth.
- Rinse them with warm water.
- Dry them thoroughly with a soft cloth.
- Store them on your dental stone model when not in use.
Taking just a minute to clean and store your grillz properly will help keep them looking their best.
Cleaning
For routine cleaning, use:
- Warm water
- Mild soap
- A soft toothbrush
- A microfibre cloth
Gently brush away any build-up, rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing.
Avoid using excessive force while cleaning.
Avoid
To help protect your grillz and their finish, avoid:
- Eating while wearing them
- Sleeping while wearing them
- Smoking or vaping while wearing them
- Toothpaste or abrasive cleaners
- Baking soda
- Boiling water
- Harsh chemicals or jewellery cleaners unless specifically recommended
These can damage the finish, loosen stones or reduce the lifespan of your grillz.
Storage
Always store your grillz on the dental stone model supplied with your order.
The dental stone supports your grillz and helps maintain their shape while they're not being worn.
Store the model somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity.
Avoid carrying loose grillz in your pocket, bag or wallet where they may become bent or scratched.
Plated Finishes
Gold-plated and coloured finishes naturally wear over time.
How quickly this happens depends on how often your grillz are worn, how they're cared for, and factors such as saliva, skin chemistry and general use.
This is completely normal.
If your plating eventually wears, we offer a replating service to restore the finish.
Fit & Adjustments
Your grillz are custom-made from the impressions you provide.
If they don't feel quite right, don't force them into place or attempt major adjustments yourself.
